How to Order
From a free sample to a recurring container program. Here is exactly how buying from Mape Textil works, including terms, documents, payment and quality claims.
Start with a free sample
We send physical product samples free of charge and pay the shipping. Tell us the specification you buy today and we will quote it, so you can compare our quality, price and response time with your current supplier. You do not need to replace that supplier: most customers start by qualifying us as an additional source.
Ordering a container, step by step
- Place the orderConfirm the product, specification, packaging and quantity (minimum one container of approx. 45,000 lb).
- Send your transport detailsProvide your freight forwarder or shipping line information.
- Booking receivedMape Textil receives the booking information for the container.
- Proforma invoice issuedMape Textil issues a proforma invoice with the confirmed terms.
- PaymentYou pay the proforma invoice. New export customers pay before the container ships.
- Export and shipmentMape Textil prepares the export documents and ships the container.
Order size, lead time and packaging
- Minimum order: one container of approximately 45,000 lb.
- Bales: approximately 1,000 lb each, so about 45 bales per 45,000 lb container.
- Containers: 20 ft and 40 ft, depending on the product and order configuration.
- Lead time: normal preparation time is approximately 7 to 15 days. The exact time depends on the product, specification, production schedule and order.
- Cut: random cuts of approximately 12 to 15 inches as standard. Cut size can be adjusted to your specification.
- Custom packaging: presentation, labeling and other packaging requirements can be customized. Custom packaging may carry an additional charge and is quoted separately from the standard price.
Pricing
Each product has its own price per pound; there is no single price across every grade. Prices are negotiated by volume and recurring consumption, and higher-volume or recurring customers can be evaluated for better pricing. Every order is quoted individually.
Shipping terms (Incoterms)
Our standard quotation basis is FOB Honduras. The named point and the final Incoterm are confirmed on each proforma invoice. CIF and other arrangements can be evaluated depending on your needs.
Export documents
Each export shipment normally includes:
- Commercial invoice
- Packing list
- Shipping document
- Certificate of origin
- Required Honduran export documentation
Payment and credit
New export customers pay against the proforma invoice before the container ships. Credit terms may be available for established customers, subject to approval and an appropriate credit agreement.
Quality control and claims
A dedicated quality inspection team audits every order against your specification before shipment. Every rag is cut from new, pre-consumer material and is guaranteed free of buttons, zippers and other hard pieces. If a legitimate quality claim occurs, we evaluate the individual case and work directly with you on a resolution. Depending on the circumstances and your preference, that may be a credit or a refund.
U.S. inventory program for established accounts
Mape Textil has access to a location in Orlando, Florida that can hold inventory for established U.S. customers. It works as a dedicated replenishment program, not as general stock: you share a consumption forecast, we agree the program, inventory is positioned in Orlando to match your expected consumption, and you receive faster domestic replenishment from that stock.
