All questions
What does Mape Textil make?
Mape Textil makes industrial wiping rags from new, pre-consumer textile remnants generated by textile and apparel manufacturing. The main lines are 100% cotton white jersey, 100% cotton colored T-shirt, and white mixed rags, plus white terry, exact cut knit and unbleached knit.
Are Mape Textil wiping rags made from used clothing?
No. Every Mape Textil wiping rag is cut from new, pre-consumer cutting remnants from textile manufacturing. None of the material is used or post-consumer clothing.
Do the rags contain buttons, zippers or other hard pieces?
No. Mape Textil guarantees that its finished wiping rags are free of buttons, zippers and other hard pieces that could scratch surfaces or interfere with industrial wiping.
What is the minimum order?
The minimum order is one container of approximately 45,000 lb, which is about 45 bales of approximately 1,000 lb each. Mape Textil sells to container-volume buyers: distributors, resellers and large industrial users.
What size are the wiping rags?
Standard rags are random cuts of approximately 12 to 15 inches. Cut size can be adjusted to the customer specification, and the Exact Cut Knit product is cut to more consistent dimensions.
What is the lead time for a container?
Normal preparation time is approximately 7 to 15 days. The exact time depends on the product, the specification, the production schedule and the order.
Can I get a free sample?
Yes. Mape Textil sends physical product samples free of charge and pays the sample shipping, so you can evaluate the material before discussing a container order. Request a sample through the contact form or by email.
How much do Mape Textil wiping rags cost?
Each product has its own price per pound, and prices are negotiated by volume and recurring consumption. Mape Textil quotes per container on request. Tell us the product, specification and monthly volume for a quotation.
How much can Mape Textil produce per month?
Approximate monthly capacity is 90,000 lb of white jersey, 90,000 lb of white mixed and 45,000 lb of colored jersey. Mape Textil can support a recurring customer taking two 45,000 lb containers per month once the arrangement is established.
What shipping terms does Mape Textil use?
The standard basis is FOB Honduras, with the named point and final Incoterm confirmed on each proforma invoice. CIF and other terms can be evaluated depending on the customer needs.
How does ordering work?
You place the order and send your transport or shipping line information. Mape Textil receives the booking, issues a proforma invoice, and ships once payment is received.
What are the payment terms?
New export customers pay against the proforma invoice before the container ships. Credit terms may be available to established customers, subject to approval and a credit agreement.
Which export documents are included?
Mape Textil normally provides a commercial invoice, packing list, shipping document, certificate of origin, and the Honduran export documentation required for the shipment.
How is quality controlled?
A dedicated quality inspection team audits each order against the customer specification before shipment. If a legitimate quality claim arises, Mape Textil reviews the case and works directly with the customer on a resolution, which may include a credit or a refund depending on the circumstances.
Can packaging be customized?
Yes. Packaging, presentation and labeling can be customized to the customer requirements. Custom packaging may carry an additional charge and is quoted separately from the standard price.
Does Mape Textil hold U.S. inventory?
For established U.S. accounts, Mape Textil can position inventory at a location in Orlando, Florida based on the customer consumption forecast, so the customer can receive faster domestic replenishment. This is an inventory program set up per account, not stock held for every product.
Where is Mape Textil located?
Mape Textil S. de R. L. is located at Free Trade Zone Inhdelva Este, Edificio 35 (Building 35), Choloma, Cortés, Honduras. The free-trade-zone location supports its export operations.
Which countries does Mape Textil export to?
Mape Textil has exported internationally since 2020, including to the United States, Mexico and Guatemala.
Is Mape Textil certified?
Mape Textil does not currently hold a third-party certification. Its environmental license is being processed with the Honduran authorities and has not yet been issued. This answer will be updated when it is.
